The CFBA Story

The Central Florida Boating Association (CFBA) is a non-profit organization with a clear mission: to foster boating safety within our community, promote outdoor engagement among young individuals, and provide comprehensive, immersive boating education programs endorsed by the National Safe Boating Council.

Our programs are thoughtfully crafted to cater to both youth and adults, offering an opportunity to enhance their understanding of boating safety, improve their skills, and boost their confidence on the water. We aspire to be the go-to resource for boating enthusiasts eager to enrich their experiences on our local waterways.

Meet the Team

CFBA is a team of licensed boat captains, certified sailing instructors, and business experts who share a deep commitment to connecting our community with the great outdoors. Our seasoned Captains bring a wealth of real-world boating experience and an impressive array of credentials including USCG Merchant Mariner Credentials, American Sailing Instructor credentials and the National Safe Boating Council Instructor program.   • Co-Founder/President

    “Captain Mike” is a seasoned Boat Captain with a wealth of experience and expertise. As our Director of Operations, he holds a Master Captain 50-ton license with a towing endorsement. Michael is on the path to becoming a Certified National Safe Boating Council Instructor, further enhancing his credentials as an educator in boating safety. With seven years of ownership experience in a successful Boat Rental Company, he understands the ins and outs of the boating industry from both operational and business perspectives. His role as a licensed Florida Boat Broker adds an extra layer of insight into boat ownership and transactions.

    Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of South Florida, a testament to his dedication to excellence in his field. His passion for boating and commitment to safety make him an invaluable asset to our team.


  • Angela DelleFave

    Director of Finance, Bookkeeping & Administration

    Angela is CFAB’s head of financial and administrative operations. With a Bachelor's degree in Business, Angela brings a strong foundation in business management to her role. As the Marketing Director for Boats to You Rentals, she possesses a profound understanding of the local market and client relations within the boating industry. Angela has an impressive fifteen years of office management experience, demonstrating her keen organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Her role as a Notary Public underscores her commitment to professionalism and accuracy in all matters. Angela’s expertise is integral to maintaining the efficiency and precision of our financial and administrative processes.


  • Co-Founder/Vice-President

    “Capt Dan” is CFBA’s experienced sailing instructor at the helm of our Youth & Adult Sailing Programs. Dan holds an OUPV 6-pack Captain's License and certification as a Sailing Instructor from the American Sailing Association (ASA). Through CFBA, he also plans to become a certified Instructor under the Nationals Safe Boating Council.

    Additionally, he sits on the board of The Central Florida Sailing Club, and has been deeply entrenched in the sailing community for almost 10 years. Beyond his sailing background, Dan brings over 15 years of corporate sales experience, demonstrating his ability to foster partnerships and drive success. He is the owner and operator of local a sailing charter company. With 5 years of leadership experience in the Boy Scouts of America, he understands the significance of mentorship and character building. Capt Dan will be a driving force behind our Youth Programs, ensuring that young sailors become proficient in their skills and grow into responsible and confident individuals.


  • Director of Marketing & Communications

    Kristen Pollock brings an array of experience to our team with a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication and a Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR). With an expansive 20-year career spanning Human Resources, Marketing, and Business Administration, Kristen has honed her skills in these crucial areas. Over the last five years, her proficiency in Digital Marketing strategies played a pivotal role in the success of a startup organization, overseeing its expansion from 25 locations to 50.

    Beyond her professional achievements, Kristen is committed to giving back to the community and has dedicated the past year to volunteering her time as a Cub Scout leader with the Boy Scouts of America. Her diverse skill set, business acumen, and dedication to mentorship will prove invaluable to our team and its mission.

The Central Florida Boating Association (CFBA) is structured as a Non-Profit organization with the purpose of providing quality boating education programs to youth and adults. Angels for Angels is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and our Fiscal Sponsor.
