Powerboat Training for Teens!
Skipper Club offers youth boating training for teens ages 14+, providing on-water instruction in essential powerboating skills and maneuvers. Developed by the National Safe Boating Council in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard, the Central Florida Skipper Club aims to cultivate the next generation of safe boaters through hands-on training and ongoing program opportunities within our community.

How to be the skipper when friends are on board
How it works Your boat or ours. We can come to you, including practice at the ramp. Lessons are tailored to the teen’s experience and the boat they’ll use.
Community courses stay donation-based. Ask us what a session looks like for your family.
Before they drive
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 needs a Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card to operate a motorboat 10 HP or more. The free online course is the classroom piece. Skipper Club is how it sticks on the water.
